about Busselton

Busselton is a city on the southwest tip of Western Australia. It's known for its sheltered beach and seasonal humpback whale populations. The beachfront features the 19th-century Busselton Jetty. This wood pier stretches nearly 2km to the Underwater Observatory, where life in a coral reef is on view. To the city's northeast, the towering tuart trees of Tuart Forest National Park are home to 2 species of possum.

tour overview

10:00am - 5:00pm Door to Door

Our tour begins with a scenic estuary drive out of Mandurah. You’ll need walking shoes for some light exercise, as we pay a visit to some pre-historic living rocks! The fascinating thrombolites are the oldest known living bacterial life form, surviving after millions of years of existence.

We rejuvenate on our stop for morning tea at a quirky café before heading to enjoy the iconic Busselton Jetty; It’s an unprecedented opportunity to walk or train from the sheltered shore to almost 2 kms out into Geographe Bay. Included in your tour is a visit to the amazing underwater observatory, the museum and, if time permits, you can explore more of Bussleton. We lunch at a modern waterfront venue, with an upbeat vibe and outdoor seats with a spectacular view of the waterfront.

Then off we head to one of the most spectacular and photographed sights of the northern Cape. Sugarloaf Rock's lookout point is an impressive and spectacular ocean view and a must see! It's a popular spot to see Humpback and Southern Right Whales during the migration season, dolphins and seabirds. Pack your binoculars!

An Epic Day with opportunity for some Epic photo opportunities.

Price includes; Bussleton Jetty & Train ride & Observatory, scenic drive, bottled water, morning tea, lunch and Epic Day photo opportunities.

tour highlights

Leave your cares behind as we visit fascinating thrombolites, 2000 years old, but with an ancestry dating back 1,900 million years!

On your visit to the Busselton Jetty, you will have an opportunity to visit the observatory and see life in a coral reef on view! Surviving cyclone Alby in 1978, weathering several fires and threats of demolition, the Busselton Jetty boasts one of only 6 underwater observatories in the world!

The calm beaches of the Bay are protected from prevailing winds, and are popular with swimmers, fishermen, scuba divers and snorkellers. If time permits, take a dip!

Busselton is the largest population centre in the Margaret River Region and the townsite provides excellent shopping and service facilities. Perhaps pick up a souvenir?

Bird watchers, sea-life observers and nature appreciators will all be catered for with our visit to the Cape Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park and Sugarloaf Rock. You'll see some of the most spectacular natural scenery in Australia, and capture amazing Epic Day photos to treasure!

No wonder Bussleton has held the prestigious title of WA’s top tourist town!
